RIPLEY’S SEARCHES FOR BEST LAUGH IN TEXAS
Fourth Annual “Oddest Laugh in Texas” Contest to Begin November 8

In the tradition of Robert Ripley and his search for the odd and unusual, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® museums in Dallas / Ft. Worth and San Antonio areas announce the launch of the fourth “Oddest Laugh in Texas” contest.

Any Texan who feels they have an unusual laugh is invited to call the toll free number 1-877-361-HAHA (4242) to record their laugh at its best! On November 30, the contest will close and a panel of judges consisting of Ripley’s executives and local media personalities will select up to 10 finalists. These finalists will be invited to appear on December 8 at the Grand Prairie location for a final Laugh-Off to determine the “Oddest Laugh in Texas”.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $500, a weekend package including hotel accommodations, restaurants, attraction tickets for their choice of either San Antonio or Dallas / Ft. Worth. Also included is Ripley’s memorabilia, including being featured in a Believe It or Not!® cartoon appearing worldwide. All finalists will receive cash prizes in addition to other gifts.

This is a contest that proves Texans have a great sense of humor and are even able to laugh at themselves.

Located 7 minutes east of Six Flags on I-30, Ripley's Believe It or Not!® and Louis Tussaud's Palace of Wax®, both family attractions are open year round. Annual ticket sales are approximately 400,000. These attractions are very popular with tourists to the area as well as residents of the Metroplex.
